Japan Open Chain to Exhibit and Host Seminars at "4th Blockchain EXPO [Autumn]", Japan's Largest Blockchain Exhibition

Japan Blockchain Foundation Inc. (CEO: Hidekazu Kondo), which operates and manages the consortium for the business-optimized public chain "Japan Open Chain," will exhibit at the "4th Blockchain EXPO [Autumn]" to be held at Makuhari Messe for three days from October 25 to October 27, 2023. The company will host talk sessions with Japan Open Chain validators (blockchain co-operators) and seminars at the exhibition booth. Additionally, we will provide detailed information about Japan Open Chain's domestic and international activities, usage methods, stablecoin initiatives by financial institutions, and NFT projects. At the previous two exhibitions, thousands of visitors attended our booth each time. We are also planning to distribute commemorative NFTs for visitors, which were well-received last time.

・Stablecoin Project​

Currently, approximately $180 billion worth of USD-pegged stablecoins are in circulation worldwide, and are predicted to grow to approximately $4.1 trillion in the next five years. They are attracting attention as a blockchain use case used globally for enabling overwhelmingly fast and inexpensive remittance and settlement. In particular, they are gaining attention in various areas including B2B and P2P remittance and settlement, payment methods for NFTs and digital securities, and supply chain DX.

Following the enforcement of the revised Payment Services Act on June 1 this year, we are conducting demonstration experiments on stablecoin issuance and remittance on Japan Open Chain in collaboration with various banks. We aim to distribute Japan's first bank-issued stablecoins domestically and internationally, and plan demonstration experiments with businesses that will use stablecoins.
