Hatena Inc. Joins Japan Open Chain as Validator
Japan Blockchain Foundation Inc. (CEO: Hidekazu Kondo), which operates and manages the consortium for "Japan Open Chain (JOC)," an Ethereum-compatible public chain operated by Japanese companies, announces that Hatena Inc. (President and CEO: Yoshiomi Kurisu, hereinafter "Hatena") has joined as a validator (blockchain operating partner) of Japan Open Chain.
Going forward, JOC intends to collaborate not only on the management and operation of JOC by Hatena, but also to advance consideration of new Web3 services for solving social issues, and to cooperate on stable blockchain operations and development/provision of web3 solutions for corporations.
Currently, validators of "Japan Open Chain" include CAC Corporation, COGEA Inc., a startup within the Sony Group, CyberLinks Co., Ltd., Dentsu Inc., NTT Communications Corporation of the NTT Group, G.U.Technologies Inc., insprout Inc., Kudasai Inc., Minna Bank Ltd., pixiv Inc., TIS Inc., extra mile Inc. of the TV Asahi Group, and Kyoto University of the Arts, with plans to eventually reach 21 companies.
◽️ Purpose of Hatena's Validator Participation
Hatena will participate as a blockchain co-operator of Japan Open Chain, and will provide a blockchain that Japanese companies can use with confidence together with other co-operators, while promoting the development of Web3 services that contribute to solving social issues.
